Our state of the art laboratory conducts a variety of tests for skin diseases. We test for skin infections, allergy, auto-immune diseases and skin cancers. Our tests are as indicated below.

• Skin biopsy. This may be shave, punch or excisional biopsies to test for various skin cancers.
• Blood tests. Complete blood count (CBC), Antinuclear antibody (ANA), Ig E.
• Allergy testing. Patchy testing, skin prick test.
• Microbiological tests. Culture for bacteria, fungi or viruses. Gram stain and KOH test.
• Immunofluorescence. Both direct and indirect immunofluorescence.
• Genetic testing. Gene mutation analysis and whole exome sequencing.
• Wood lamp examination
• Skin scrapping test
• Serological tests. Syphilis testing (RPR, VDRL), Herpes simplex virus antibodies.
